Statistical data are always compiled on the basis of the situation on 31 March of the year following the statistical reference year in question, with the exception that the data for the statistical reference years 2011-2016 are based on the situation on 31 March 2017. Statistical data may be updated even after 31 March of the year following the statistical reference year.

Decisions on payment periods

The Legal Register Centre may grant a payment period for fines on which separate provisions have been issued by an act, administrative financial penalties and other receivables.

The Legal Register Centre may grant time for payment of fines, administrative penalties and other claims provided for by law.

These statistics include the number of cases of payment of penalties enforced by the Legal Register Centre.
In October 2020, the e-service was launched, which allows the submission of applications for payment periods. With the introduction of e-service, i.e. from 2020 onwards, statistics on payment periods will be based on applications received. Prior to e-filing, statistics were collected on decisions on payment periods taken. The difference between the number of applications and decisions is due to, for example, double applications received and cases to be merged.
