Statistical data are always compiled on the basis of the situation on 31 March of the year following the statistical reference year in question, with the exception that the data for the statistical reference years 2011-2016 are based on the situation on 31 March 2017. Statistical data may be updated even after 31 March of the year following the statistical reference year.

Criminal record extracts
Criminal records extracts
These statistics provide information concerning the number of criminal records extracts disclosed annually. The statistics contain the number of extracts regarding the criminal history of persons working with children given in section 6 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993) and the criminal records extract required for completing students’ practical training.
Criminal records extracts for volunteers
These statistics provide information concerning the number of criminal records extracts disclosed on individuals working as volunteers with children. The Act on the Investigation of the Criminal History of Volunteers Working with Children (148/2014) entered into force on 1 May 2014.
Förslag till upphandlingspolitik
These statistics contain information on the annual number of criminal records disclosed for procurement purposes in accordance with Section 6b of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993). The release of the extracts started on 1 January 2017.
Criminal background check on the image classifier
This statistic contains information on the number of criminal background checks submitted for the background check of the image classifier in accordance with Section 13 of the Image Software Act (701/2011).
