Fines and payment
Did you get mail from the Legal Register Centre? The LRC enforces many fines and sanctions imposed by the authorities and courts.
Our website contains information on the most common fines and penalties and on paying them.
You can check your own enforcement matters and order a balance statement on your outstanding penalties in enforcement conveniently in the LRC’s electronic service.
A traffic penalty fee is imposed for traffic violations on roads and waterways. If you have not committed a violation, do not pay the fee, but file an appeal instead. Read more about the traffic penalty fee.
If a person does not pay a fine imposed by a court of law, it can be converted to imprisonment. Pay the converted fine by the due date. Read more about conversion sentences for unpaid fines.
A victim of crime can apply for criminal injuries compensation from the State. The State collects the compensation retrospectively from the offender. This collection is carried out by the Legal Register Centre. Read more about the criminal injuries compensation.
