Customer service for private persons
You can also easily manage your matters through LRC’s electronic services.
Before calling the Legal Register Centre (LRC) customer service, please gather all the relevant information. Check whether your matter could be dealt with via the e-services.
Calling the LRC customer service and queuing on the phone will cost the price specified by your operator. If you call from outside of Finland, the charge will be determined by the local operator.
You can use strong identification in the telephone service for enforcement matters, which we highly recommend. If you do not have the means needed for strong identification at your disposal, queue on the phone and a customer service representative will identify you using other means. All calls to the service numbers are recorded.
Please note the following:
- If your cannot see your sanction in the e-services, the matter has probably not been logged into the debt collection system of the LRC yet. Depending on the type of the matter, logging the information will take from a few days to a few months.
- The LRC cannot make any changes to a decision you have received. Please read with care the instructions you have received from the police or other authority.
- You can only apply for an extension to your payment time once you have received a payment reminder from the LRC or you can see your matter in the e-services.
- The customer service representatives will not be able to tell you when you will receive a decision regarding your application on a payment period extension or how long it will take to process it. If any information is missing from your application, the LRC will contact you.
